Major League Soccer

Of the many American prospects, Chance Cowell, younger brother of Club Deportivo Guadalajara and United States international Cade Cowell is one that catches my eye. Although only making a handful of appearances in his professional career, Chance has shown his abilities well at youth international level scoring 2 goals for Mexico Under 15s in 2022 and an equal 2 for United States Under 17s in 2024 respectively. At 16 years old, turning 17 in the summer, Chance is at an age where first team minutes will be crucial for development, and I think he can be an eccentric forward for USA's Major League Soccer, or if he has the opportunity, showcase in European football.

Seymour Reid is another prospect currently having a great time in New York City FC II, a team in a developmental league used for MLS reserve teams. Having signed this March, Seymour has 3 goals in 2 appearances.  A recently turned 17-year-old Jamaican striker, Seymour also has 3 goals in 4 appearances for the Jamaican Under 17s side. His impressive performances and incredible potential have already made the New York City FC senior team set for his arrival from the reserve team for January 2026. If he stays consistent and carries momentum into the senior squad, there is no doubt Seymour will be a player to watch out for.
